Plant Utilities

For the most part, utilities at the plant level are usually the most taken for granted.  When you need to use a hose, a drop station is there to provide instant water.  When a new piece of equipment needs air, simply hook up an air line to an existing header and you’re good to go.  But how efficient is the equipment servicing your utility needs?  What about wasted energy costs, and how old is the equipment controlling your plant-wide infrastructure?

PCA has vast knowledge of these utility systems and can design control systems to ensure that you’re plant is not letting money go down the drain (literally!).  We typically see systems that are close to meeting or have exceeded their life span and must be upgraded to ensure that the plant doesn’t go down unexpectedly.  Some of these systems include:

  • Compressed Air
  • Hot/Cold Water Supply
  • Refrigeration
  • Steam
